31. Wilmer⁶ Woodruff (Martha Alice⁵ Spicer, Joshua⁴, Hardin G.³, Joseph², William¹) was born Hays, North Carolina 25 December 1908.

He married twice. He married Verna V. McLean. Verna was born Millers Creek, North Carolina 5 May 1910. Verna was the daughter of J.E. McLean and Gertrude Watts. Verna died 1 February 1946 at 35 years of age. Her body was interred Hays, North Carolina, Mt. View Baptist Church Cemetery. He married Charlie Lou Brookshire.

Wilmer Woodruff and Verna V. McLean had the following children:

43 i. Wilmer Joshua⁷ Woodruff Jr.

44 ii. Peggy Jane Woodruff. She married M. L. Blevins.
