Let's start off with the Nufer's since that's what I know the most about.  Again, my name is Rex Nufer.  I was born and raised in Dodge City, Kansas.  Although I left there for school when I was 19 years old, I still consider it my home town.  I still have numerous friends and relatives there.  It seems that Kansas is a hotbed for Nufer's and Deutsch's.  I am descended from both.  Details on my lineage can be found in the documents included in this web site.  In a nutshell, two Deutsch brothers and their families, and my great-great grandfather Christof Nufer and his family immigrated to this country in 1892 from Russia.  They were Volga Germans.  One of the brothers, Johannes Deutsch, was married to Christof's sister Susanna.  The other brother, Frederich Deutsch, had a daughter named Antoinette.  She married Christof's son Martin.  Antoinette and Martin were my great grandparents.  They lived in Dodge City until their deaths.
