He married Catherine Martin Hays, Kansas, 31 December 1945. Catherine was born Loraine County, Ohio 23 January 1926. Catherine is the daughter of Leroy Martin and Anna Unknown.

Daniel Ochs Jr. and Catherine Martin had the following children:

169 i. Roy Dean⁵ Ochs was born Hays, Kansas 28 November 1946. He married Julie Dubey Great Bend, Kansas, 16 September 1972.

170 ii. Michael Ray Ochs was born Hays, Kansas 14 March 1950. He married Stella Amador June 1970.
