17. Alexander2 Nufer (Christopher1, JohannesA) was born Russia 26 March 1885. Alexander died 26 October 1963 Cloverdale, British Columbia, Canada, at 78 years of age.

He married Amelia Sophia Maier Hoisington, Kansas, 24 March 1913. Amelia was born Russia 1894. Amelia died 6 September 1969 Rimbey, Alberta, at 75 years of age. Alex left Kansas with his brothers, Martin and Bill, in 1914 to moved to where his father lived in Canada. They settled in around Ponoka and the Wilmot district. In 1917, Alex moved his family into Martins place when Martin packed up and moved his family back to Kansas. It is here where Emanuel died in October, and where Freda was born. In 1920 and 1921 he made purchases to acquire more land adjacent to his existing property. In 1920 they built their second log cabin since moving to Canada. This must have been where Walter was born in 1924. Alex and Amelia left the farm in 1944 and lived in Ponoka. In 1948 they moved to Surrey Centre, British Columbia. Alex lived here until his death in 1963. In 1965 Amelia moved to Rimbey. She lived there until her death in 1969.

Alexander Nufer and Amelia Sophia Maier had the following children:

child 50 i. Olinda3 Nufer was born Hoisington, Kansas 28 December 1913. Olinda died 10 May 1976 Rimbey, Alberta, at 62 years of age. She married Homer Betts Ponoka, Alberta, 30 June 1934.

child 51 ii. Emanuel Nufer was born May 1915. Emanuel died October 1917 at 2 years of age.

child + 52 iii. Freda Nufer was born 5 September 1919.

child + 53 iv. Walter Nufer was born 15 March 1924.
