18. John Henry⁶ Spicer (Martha Jane⁵ Holbrook, Ralph⁴, Ralph³, Randolph², Randolph¹) was born Abshers, North Carolina 21 October 1867. John died 9 June 1903 at 35 years of age. His body was interred Moxley, North Carolina, Piney Grove Baptist Church.

He married Nancy Jane Bryan 20 December 1894. Nancy was born 31 December 1872. Nancy was the daughter of John Quincy Adams Bryan and Martha Ann Bryan. Nancy died 22 January 1924 at 51 years of age. Her body was interred 23 January 1924 Traphill, North Carolina, Bryan Family Cemetery.

John Henry Spicer and Nancy Jane Bryan had the following children:

24 i. Henry Clay⁷ Spicer was born Moxley, North Carolina 23 January 1896. Henry died 1975 at 79 years of age. He married twice. He married Cristine Everly 1 June 1920. He married Evelyn Unknown.

25 ii. Bessie Bryan Spicer was born Moxley, North Carolina 3 December 1898. She married Clarence Clyde Reves 17 January 1920. Clarence was born Jonesville, North Carolina 16 March 1902. Clarence was the son of William Asbury Reves and Daisy Martin.

26 iii. Mattie Jane Spicer was born Moxley, North Carolina 1 October 1901. She married Thomas Sherman Bauguess Traphill, North Carolina, 10 November 1919. Thomas was born 31 March 1895. Thomas was the son of John K Gauguess and Susan Childress. Thomas died 5 January 1980 at 84 years of age. His body was interred Traphill, North Carolina, Old Roaring River Baptist Church.
